| How do I
publish my own book? |
My Publishing Journey:
My first experience with a publishing house was little
over 20 years ago. It was not the exhilarating
experience I was expecting, and nothing like what I had
been told by my professions and mentors at that time.
After a few years my second opportunity to publish
presented itself and even though the publisher was
different, the whole experience and outcome left a lot
to be desired. I was so disappointed in all aspects of
the process.
I had almost given up my dream to become an author when
shortly after an article I wrote appeared in "Vision
Magazine" in 2006. A few weeks thereafter I was reading
my emails and noticed one unlike all the rest. It was an
invitation to contact
Author House and
discuss my publishing goals. I was both hesitant and
skeptical but today, I am very glad that I responded.
This process from the beginning to the end has been a
very pleasant experience. Every department, from
evaluating of the manuscript, proofreading, going
over publishing options, cover design,
copyrighting, promotion has been a wonderful
cooperative venture. The staff is knowledgeable,
friendly and helpful. They don't pressure you into
purchasing optional services, they just let you know
what's available and allow you to make decisions in
keeping with your goals. They keep you well informed and
involved. I personally have been quite happy with the
process and the results are amazing.
I look forward to continuing with this publishing
partnership, as I plan to publish again and
Author House is
the publisher for ME!
Marci Tilghman Bryant
is a gifted teacher, mentor and enthusiast when it comes
to spreading the “good news” gospel. She loves people
because she loves the Lord. As she states, “in the word
of God it says, “you will know them by their love”…them,
referring to those who belong to the family of God. She
is the Director of BVT Outreach Ministries founded in
1994 in Delaware.
Her very own life experiences have taught her that we
should live everyday in gratitude, love and mercy; while
developing that inward personality to its state of
holiness. There are three scriptural references that are
near and dear to her heart and she consistently chooses
to live by them. They are Psalm 56:13, “thou has
delivered my soul from death, will not thou deliver my
feet from falling that I may walk before God in the
light of the living?”; Luke 6:38, “Give and it shall be
given unto you, good measure, pressed down, shaken
together, shall men give unto your bosom”; and lastly
but certainly not the least, Psalm 118:17, “ I shall not
die but live and declare the works of the Lord!”
She believes that we should live our lives to the extent
possible that when we look back our regrets are few and
our accomplishments are many, no matter how latent or
small. While her credentials and accomplishments are
quite impressive, she derives her greatest joy by
helping others grow, reaching that place and person in
life that God created them to be.
